tv24.fi is now officially launched in Finland, covering Finnish channels such as YLE1, YLE2, YLE Teema, MTV3, MTV3 Max, MTV3 Fakta and 50 other channels. The iPhone app climbed up to the Top 5 Free in App Store one week after the launch. The app is also available on Android.
In one of their weekly free iPhone app roundup articles, AppleTell recommended TV-Guide USA and called it ‘a rare find’. Well, we of course hope that it won’t stay rare for much longer and hopefully this recommendation is a step in the right direction. Thanks AppleTell!
We are proud to present our brand new app TV-Guide USA – now available on both iPhone and Android. It has been a lot more work than we expected to get this one out, but we are now happy to have a first version out in both Android Market and in App Store.
Many of our users have been waiting for a TV-Guide for the US-market. However, it required some extra effort to make this happen because of the huge amount of channel and program data that’s available in the US. TV-Guide USA supports over 12 000 channels and thousands of providers (Digital/Cable/OTA).
Please download the app and try it out for yourself. We will update the app regularly with more nice features and improvements.

Update Jan 30: Phew, ok… no more updates now (it was just fun while the number was getting smaller ). Just check the top100 free apps for TV-Guide, it’s there somewhere around spot 70-80.
Time to celebrate! Our free version of the TV-Guide UK was finally approved today in App Store.
We have got lots of wishes from our users to add new channels (especially the free view channels) so we are very happy today when we both got the free version approved and also introduced 20 new channels to the popular TV-Guide UK!
Go ahead and download it today – and enjoy the new channels – and it’s free!
Alan Harten at Mobile Wire writes about Jersey Productions and the TV-Guide UK application.
”Jersey Productions, a Swedish iPhone app development studio, has announced the launch of a new TV guide application for iPhone users in the UK.”.
After keeping us waiting for a pretty long time, Apple finally accepted the UK version of TV-Guide into the App Store. For some reason only the paid version got accepted, the free version is still ”In Review”. I guess they are pretty busy over there.
The application is available at only £1.19 – a real bargain (if you ask us) considering how much time it will save you.
So… take a look at the TV-Guide product page, see the screenshots and the features, then head for iTunes and download the trial. Free version should be out *any day now* (have we heard this from iPhone developers before?).
The iPhone application development (”iPhone Applikationsutveckling”) course we’ve held in the past has required participants to have at least some sort of basic programming background. We’ve now added a course called ”Introduction till C/Objective-C” that teaches you all these basics – the thought is that you should be able to do both courses in the same week and be able to start writing the first apps of your own just after that.
The courses are held in Swedish at offices here in Stockholm but they can also be held in English or at a different location, if requested.
The last two days have been really interesting, as we have just finished hosting an iPhone development course for one of the biggest online gambling companies in the world (which happens to have an office here in Stockholm).
Jersey was asked to customize a course for their mobile development team, a team that already had extensive experience working with portable devices other than the iPhone, and we needed to bring them up to speed fast since they want to have an app out before the end of summer.
Our consultant Daniel Ericsson prepared and held the course which was very well received. So well received in fact, we’ve decided to merge parts of it with the ”iPhone Applikationsutveckling” course that is in of our normal course-repertoire.
The first version of TV-Guide has been launched in the Swedish App Store.
So far the app has been very appreciated by the users and by the community, making its way onto the top 25 list in the second day of its existence.
Update: #1 on the top list! TV-Guide Swe is now the most downloaded application in Sweden!
